Micro-current is a sub-sensory current which works by stimulating facial muscles helping to be firmer and more toned and prevent loss of muscle tone. Micro-current stimulation delivers tiny electrical impulses that mirror the body’s natural bioelectrical field. Micro-current therapy was initially developed for treating Bell’s palsy (a facial condition that affects one side of the face and causes a paralysis/ droop). It is widely used in physiotherapy for pain control and wound healing.
