Ending the Year on a Positivity note

Most people plan to lose weight, earn more money, quit smoking/drinking/tv and exercise more. These are all important behaviors to improve our lives. But, we want to add a new and perhaps more important thing to your list. That is, having a positive mind set.It will have grand affects on your health!It’s clear that positivity has been a concept that most people say in passing. They mention it when others are feeling ‘down’. They mention it when others are having a bad day, week, month. People use the word “positive” all the time. Well, we’re going to use it, again, but this time, we are using it to encourage and inspire great health and prosperity in health so that 2017 greets you and your body with strength and an abundance of energy.To be clear, a positive mindset is not only about the things that we say out loud. Anyone can pretend, out loud, that they are completely positive. They can use positive and affirming words, but if their mindset is still negative, their health will be affected.A positive mindset is really about how you look at a situation, time or person. A positive mindset releases, very quickly, the idea that something ‘bad’ will last forever. A positive mindset, as cheesy as this sounds, reminds you that the sun rises in the morning, and your troubles won’t last, forever. For example, if your doctor says that your knee is permanently damaged, a positive mindset can move past the doctor’s words and state that your knee is on a path of recovery and is getting better and better every day.Now, of course, it is always easier to say something than it is to do something. So, we wanted to leave you with a few pointers of positive mindset action and keeping your body healthy for 2017.

  1. Allow negative thoughts to pass through your mind. Don’t fight having them. Fighting negative thoughts will exhaust you and have negative repercussions on your health.
  2. Create a mantra that you have written around your home and can recite to yourself when you wake up and when you go to sleep. This mantra can include ideas around your health, your body, your success, your family-anything that you want!

For example: I am whole and perfectly well. Each day, I am loved and give love to others. My thoughts and my behavior are aligned, and I can constantly getting better and better at what I love to do.Mantras are fantastic at maintaining a positive mindset and increasing great health.

  1. Find a positive mindset partner. This partner is a person who is willing to be honest and vulnerable with you, too. Together, you can voice when something is heavy on you and solution seek another way to see the situation. You will help to keep each other healthy through your minds!
  2. Search for a positive mindset podcast, YouTube speaker or personality. We live in a media based society which means that, as long as you have a cellular device or computer and the internet, you will always have access to this gurus ideas. They can guide you through meditation, if that’s your thing, or simply remind you about all of the good in the world. Either way, a positive mindset guru will serve as encouragement and insight for your own mindset and keeping yourself strong and healthy.

A positive mindset is key to your health. This year, chose to see your health as bigger than pills and doctors. This year, take your health in your own hands and create a positive mindset!
